Islam's Symbol?

From a friend at CLUE:

The non-profit I work for, Clergy and Laity United for Economic Justice (www.cluela.org) is printing T-Shirts, are we are trying to come up with a more representative symbol for Islam, rather than the historically inaccurate crescent and star. Controversy over symbols aside, does anyone have any suggestions/ideas??
Please send them to me in a quick email.

i always liked it (even though it was historically inaccurate). and i mean people know its islam. a peace sign.. i mean how would people know it refers to islam.

another suggestion is like a face with a hijab. but then again that leaves out guys.

Islam is known as the most practiced religion all over the world. I think it will be daawah to have a symbol showing that Islam and human nature are the most compatible things.

I suggest a road that looks safe with a baby's foot on it. Just show the foot, dont show the whole body.

Am I too deep here?

I like the two palms idea, maybe add a heart in the middle

i think a pair of hands raised in dua is a good idea. it is a symbol of prayer and peace(since the palm is open, this gesture shows that the hand holds no weapon). i believe the pillars of faith(roza, zakath, kalimah, salaat and hajj) should also be somehow incorporated.
